On Our Doorstep

Our ales come from the Dunham Massey Brewing Company right next door, whilst nestled within a picturesque 20-acre orchard at Boundary Farm on the other side of the village, the Dunham Apple Barn supplies our delicious ciders and apple juice.

Just around the corner in Dunham Massey village Woodhouse’s Speciality Mushrooms provide our wonderfully tasty mushrooms and all our locally sourced meat comes from the village butchers.

We love the sourdough bread from award-winning baker Aidan Monks and wife Catherine Connor. A truly innovative and ethical duo, Aidan and Catherine work closely with farmers and millers to source the best flour they can. Championing the use of heritage-grain flours in sourdough baking to create breads that are good for the tummy, good for the soil and good for the soul.

Sapling Home Farm

Our free range eggs are all sourced directly from this lovely family business established in 2011 and based not far away in Lower Peover just outside Knutsford. The farm is managed is by Maxine and her husband Ben Wharfe, their three lovely children Lydia, James and Harrison along with a team of 15 including a farm manager, office staff and delivery drivers. Their ethos is to produce quality food that can be enjoyed by the local community.

Organic North Wholesale

All our cheese, fruit & veg, tea, coffee, wine and soft drinks come from this long established, members run cooperative based at New Smithfield’s Market in Manchester. This cooperative has enjoyed close relationships with some of their farmers for well over 25 years and consistently provide great tasting, seasonal organic produce. Any imported goods are almost exclusively European and when seasonal shortages do occasionally occur, they never air-freight from Kenya or anywhere else in the world, ever!

Taylor’s Traditional Fish Mongers

Supplying the fresh fish for our famous Fish Fridays, is this traditional family fish mongers business based at Altrincham Market. With five fishing ports located along the coastline, the nearest being Liverpool just 26 miles away, up to Fleetwood 45 miles away, Taylors ensure their produce is super fresh. Making their deliveries all ready to be either cooked in our very own homemade batter and served with chips, or included in one of our other tasty fish dishes.

Everything started on the Fell family farm in 1986, when dairy farmers, Tom and Margaret Fell, saw a gap in the market for luxury real dairy ice cream. Nearly 40 years later, they remain a family run business, working with local farmers in the heart of the Cheshire Plains. Their multi-award-winning real dairy ice cream contains just 6 base ingredients and is pasteurised and aged in-house, to produce the highest quality and depth of flavour.
